How to use the pass

Before you use your Lake District Pass, please note the following points:

  • Your  Pass is emailed to you after purchase and is valid for use within 12 months of date of purchase and will be activated when first used at an attraction and is valid for the number of individual days purchased.

  • One day comprises of 24 hours, not one calendar day giving you more freedom and less restrictions than other schemes

Getting Started

  • Print your Pass ensuring that the barcode is printed clearly (if it is illegable, you will be refused entry) and bring it with you to gain free entry to the attractions

  • If you lose the email with the tickets on or accidently delete it, you can re-print your Pass by logging into your account

  • No refunds can be offered for lost or stolen cards but should you lose your Pass log in to your account and, using the tab, click 'your e-tickets' and 'report lost/stolen'.  Alternatively, you can call our 24hr free-phone helpline on 0800 634 7020 and we'll be happy to help.  Lost or Stolen Passes can be immeditately cancelled and re-issued to you with the remaining balance left on the Pass.  You will be asked security questions during this process to confirm your identity.

Special offers

  • To obtain the special offer discounts at the participating shops and restaurants, simply show your Pass when paying.

At the Attraction

When you get to the attraction, the benefits fo the Lake District Pass will become even clearer;  go to the main entry point (it may be markeed by bearing the 'Freedom of accepted here' logo/signs)

  • The attraction team member will scan or enter your pass barcode reference number

  • You don't have to pay an admission fee

  • The entry price for the attraction will be deducted from your Pass

  • Please note, unlike other schemes, you have the Freedom to choose what you want to do and when - you are not limited to visit only one attraction once with your valid pass; if you want to go back to somewhere where you've enjoyed, you can!

  • You will be asked to verify your name and postal town by the attraction staff, please ensure you have sufficient ID with you if required.  This is to help protect you and your Pass so your cooperation is appreciated.  As a result, your Pass is non-transferable.
